Felix Design created a 2 minute introduction piece for "Home Remedy: a breakfast to benefit Pine Street Inn" on April 10th at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel.
The animation highlights the 38 year history of Pine Street Inn's shelter and permanent housing services for homeless and low-income men and women.
Using Adobe After Effects, the creative team at Felix combined typography, graphic elements and dramatic photographic images to tell the story of the non-profit organization's evolution, from providing overnight shelter and coffee to 200 men, to offering housing and educational services for more than 1,200 individuals today.
The decades of services were divided in to separate color schemes and animated compositions.
The compositions were then strung together as rotating planes, taking the viewer on a journey through the history of the Inn.
Original music was provided by Michael Aharon of Maja Music.
