Richard Meier Beach House
Richard Meier's Beach House, Miami, Florida
For the first time world renowned architect Richard Meier is bringing his signature architecture to Miami with a glass residential building on the famed Miami coastline. Set on the former site of the Beach House Hotel, the Meier condominium at 9449 Collins Avenue will be an oasis of calm and exclusivity, yet only a stone's throw away from both the upscale Bal Harbour shops and the vibrant South Beach restaurant and nightlife scene.
The oceanfront property boasts an unparalleled 200 plus linear feet of beach front, with unobstructed, sweeping views of the ocean and of a private landscaped beach garden of lush palm groves and tropical plants. The glass building, designed to take advantage of the light and ocean views will be 12 stories high and will contain 101 residences with 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom configurations.
Each residence at the Beach House is designed to feel like a penthouse with floor to ceiling custom glass windows and generous terraces offering panoramic views. In addition, each will offer smart home technology including wireless access and an integrated control system for home appliances and electronics, for sophisticated, modern living.
A full array of luxury amenities will be offered to building residents including two pools, (an Ocean Pool and a rooftop Sky Pool), a private Beach Club with cabanas and lounging areas, a state-of-the-art Health Club equipped with Technogym TM digital technology, a Wine and Cigar Lounge with private temperature controlled cellars and humidors, and a Spa with sauna, steam and treatment rooms.
Pritzker prize winning architect Richard Meier has long wanted to design a building in Miami, a city known for its unique blend of Art Deco architecture, nightlife and beautiful beaches. He said, "I am delighted to have the opportunity to design this wonderful beachfront condominium, where residents will be able to take advantage of Miami's extraordinarily beautiful natural beaches." Jorge Brugo, Vice President of Lynx Strategic Development, The Beach House developer, states "Our commitment to quality and innovation is our core strategy, a philosophy we definitely share with Richard Meier & Partners."
Richard Meier's Beach House is the latest project for Miami based Prodigy International Development Sales, an international real estate marketing firm specializing in the Miami market. Prodigy President Rodrigo Nino said, "The Beach House, Richard Meier's first project in Miami, will raise the bar in the South Florida real estate market. Prodigy is privileged to represent such a prestigious development."
Construction on Beach House is set to begin during fourth quarter 2005 and completion date is estimated during third quarter 2007.
