Alias Announces DirectConnect for PTC Pro/ENGINEER Design Software and Alias ImageStudio
New data transfer product integrates Alias ImageStudio visualization software with PTC Pro/ENGINEER
Alias announced its DirectConnect for Pro/ENGINEER release which allows users to efficiently visualize and share their data in high-quality, photo-realistic quality for design evaluation, presentation and promotion.
Alias ImageStudio is an easy to learn, cost-effective software tool for creating professional quality rendered images from 3D data. A designer can create finished, realistic rendered images within hours of installing ImageStudio. The extensive library of materials and rendering environments available with the software puts years of rendering experience at their fingertips.
Alias DirectConnect for Pro/ENGINEER is built on the PTC GRANITE Interoperability Kernel, enabling Alias ImageStudio to directly import native 3D models from Pro/ENGINEER. This allows Alias ImageStudio to be easily integrated into companies using Pro/ENGINEER in their product development process.
"Support for Pro/ENGINEER data is an important part of our commitment to industry-wide compatibility," stated Paul Dyck, product marketing manager of design, Alias. "Alias DirectConnect for Pro/ENGINEER makes Alias visualization solutions available to the large world-wide Pro/ENGINEER user community."
"The PTC GRANITE Interoperability Kernel enables the transfer of design information between Alias and Pro/ENGINEER applications with high quality and no known information loss," said Carsten Hochmuth, director of partner programs, PTC. "Alias industrial design software solutions are a natural complement to Pro/ENGINEER for product development, and we are pleased that Alias has chosen to extend the use of GRANITE within its product suite. "
Alias DirectConnect for Pro/ENGINEER will be available on June 15, 2005, for Alias ImageStudio. Information and free trial software can be found at: www.alias.com/imagestudio.
