Osman Can Ozcanli of Inventables Wins IDEA Award Ancient Art of Origami meets E-paper winning a Bronze at the Industrial Design Excellence Awards
Inventables, where world's most provocative technologies funnel and meet the technology visionaries of the world, recently released its latest concept - The Origami DVD Player. The design won a Bronze at the Industrial Design Excellence Awards.
Osman Can Ozcanli, lead designer of the concept stated "We were brainstorming on how the ancient art of origami could be applied to future product concepts. Through our research, we already knew that a company in Israel was working on a colored electronic paper - and that's how the Origami DVD Player concept was born. Think of all other places you can use origami, or e-paper and how it will change the world you live in - a cell phone for instance."
Inventables publishes a box composed of provocative materials and technologies gathered from around the world and deliver them together with ideas. Some of their customers include concept development departments of leading companies such as Nike, General Motors and Motorola.
