Heavenspot for 50 Cent Refuse to Die
Heavenspot, a full service new media design agency located in Hollywood, California has recently completed the Interactive Website Launch for "50 Cent Refuse to Die" a Documentary released by New Line Cinema about the street life and meteoric rise of a man who is arguably the face of hip hop today.
The site package includes Flash animation; a responsive interactive interface, a cutting edge design aesthetic, high quality Flash video, 3D graphics and downloadable Wallpapers, AIM Icons and Screensavers.
The project was motivated by New Line Cinema's desire to create a "Look & Feel" that would generate interest in the documentary as well appeal to the core 50 Cent fans.
"One of the key challenges was creating an original user interface that would stylistically appeal to Hip Hop enthusiasts and remain true to the genre while pushing the creative envelope with a fresh look," says Nickolas Peter Chelyapov, Art Director of Heavenspot.
Jermaine Saunders, 3D Designer of Heavenspot, states his goal for the project was creating 3D animation that would conform to file size standards on the web and still uphold a visually dynamic design composition.
Work on the project began in September and was completed in mid October. All design, animation and production was completed in Heavenspot's Hollywood, CA, Headquarters. Design for the project was completed in Photoshop CS and Illustrator CS with all animation and interface design done in Flash MX 2004 with additional animation from After Effects 6.5, Combustion 4.0 and Maya 6.5.
