Paoli Launches Casegoods and Seating Designed Exclusively for Healthcare
After months of industry buzz, Paoli Inc. unmasked thenewestcompany.com as Paoli Healthcare and showed off its innovative offering of fully integrated, healthcare-specific casegoods and seating. The launch occurred at Healthcare Design 2005 in Scottsdale, Ariz.
A Competitive Advantage for Paoli "Paoli Healthcare is our company's response to interior designers, specifiers, and dealers who were asking us to enter the healthcare market," says Kent Robbins, vice president, marketing. "They wanted more choices, quality solutions that address real-world needs, one-source shopping, and they wanted to partner with Paoli. A large number of Paoli dealers already specialize in healthcare, and we can leverage that network to deliver our new solutions to market. Based on all these competitive advantages, Paoli made a strategic decision to make healthcare our business."
Furniture Responds To Real-World Needs Extensive focus group and design clinic research with healthcare designers, specifiers, facility managers, and equipment managers went into the development and design of Paoli Healthcare's initial offering.
"We picked a lot of people's brains before making a single sketch, and sought their feedback throughout the design development process," says Dan Grabowski, principal designer, G2 Product Development, Grand Rapids, Mich. "From that, we created a significant collection of healthcare-specific casegoods and seating that responds to specifiers' needs for relevant, real-world solutions. What you see currently is just the first step. More introductions will be made within the next year." These designs result from a collaborative effort between Mr. Grabowski and Fred Hulse, principal of Fred C. Hulse & Associates, Martinsville, Virginia. These designers have created a number of successful product lines for Paoli Furniture.
The new collection includes contemporary, transitional, and traditional styles of patient room casegoods with complementary seating for patient rooms and waiting areas. Casegoods run the gamut from bedside cabinets, wardrobes, and TV/armoires to chests, headboards, and footboards. The four seating groups are defined by contemporary, transitional, and traditional styling, with each group including patient and visitor seating, gliders, recliners, and bariatric chairs. Coordinated details and finishes allow for complete integration of all items within a healthcare environment.
The new offering responds to specifier's everyday needs for easy-to-order products yet also makes every single component available on an a la carte basis, providing complete freedom to create a unique look or meet a unique requirement while fulfilling the design vision for the facility. Paoli Healthcare promises bid protection for added confidence on projects. Greenguard certification is pending for all products.
Orders for the new furniture will be accepted starting January 1, 2006. First orders will ship later that month.
