Bombay Sapphire in it's long standing support of designers and dedication to celebrating emerging talent has announced the three U.S. finalists in the 2006 Bombay SapphireDesigner Glass Competition.
The three talented and inspired martini glass designers are Roberta Albuquerque (Phoenix, AZ) with her design entitled Callatini, described as a flowing, light, and strong in personality; Jed Crystal (Burlington, VT) whose Smooth Flow reflects the experience of drinking a Bombay Sapphire martini, adding a subtle reminder of the natural botanicals, and Nicholas Blair (Chicago, IL) with Facet, which is inspired by the "Fresh Purity" of a Bombay Sapphire martini as well as the blue signature color of the Bombay Sapphire bottle.
"These crisp, new and creative martini glass designs further etch the Bombay Sapphire brand name into the minds of up and coming designers," said Bombay Sapphire Brand Manager, Giles Woodyer. "The martini glass designs created by our three talented finalists reflect the continued growth and interest in the Bombay Sapphire Designer Glass Competition, now in it's third year."
The three U.S. finalists were selected by a panel of renowned designers and design experts including designers Yves Behar, Dror Benshetrit, Andrew Wolf (2005 Bombay Sapphire U.S. Designer Glass Competition Winner), Margaret Russell (Editor-in-Chief, Elle Decor Magazine), and Alexis Contant (Boston Design Center).
