EwingCole Receives Two Honor Awards
from Cleveland Architects' Group for Building Design
EwingCole, a national architecture, engineering, interior design and planning firm, today announced it has received two Honor Awards from the Cleveland chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), for its work on behalf of its clients.
The awards mark the fourth consecutive year that EwingCole has won design excellence awards in the Cleveland AIA chapter's annual competition; it is the only Cleveland office to be so honored.
EwingCole received Honor Awards in the Unbuilt category for the design of the Liberty Science Center, located in Jersey City, New Jersey, and the Built category for design of the Walter and Leonore Annenberg Center for Medical Education at Lankenau Hospital in the Philadelphia suburbs.
EwingCole has been previously cited by the Cleveland AIA with:
-- a 2004 Merit Award, for its work on the Kirner Johnson Additions and Alterations at Hamilton College in Clinton, NY; -- a 2003 Honorable Mention for Unbuilt Architecture, for the Skidmore College New Music Building in Saratoga Springs, NY; and -- the 2002 Chairman's Award for Best Project, for the New Student Residences at Muhlenberg College, in Allentown, PA.
"We're honored to be recognized once again by the Cleveland AIA," said Mark Hebden, AIA, EwingCole's Executive Vice President. "Citations such as these provide independent confirmation that our firm is a leader in our industry. The competition becomes more intense every year, requiring us to elevate our work in order to stay ahead. This, of course, benefits everyone, especially our clients."
