100% Design announces launch of east London design event: 100% East
The creators of 100% Design and undu graduates announce 100% East, a complementary event to the commercially focussed contemporary interiors exhibition 100% Design, to be held at the Truman Brewery, 22-25 September 2005.
100% East will be the focal point for 100% Guaranteed and will provide a professionally curated, organised and promoted alternative environment for experimental and emerging design talent, where exhibitors will benefit from access to the 100% Design audience and unrivalled promotional and organisational skills.
A unique, challenging and broad mix of design installations, prototypes and one-off designs, 100% East will also of fer more established designers and producers the opportunity to promote more experimental one-off designs and installations within this new environment.
Announcing the plans, Jimmy MacDonald of undu graduates said: '100% East will provide the perfect environment to see the next generation of designers, from the UK and overseas, whilst providing the exhibitors themselves with a range of facilities to support their talents. It's a great addition to 100% Design.
100% Design co founder and event director, Ian Rudge, added: 'Its format will also build on the success of 100% Guaranteed which, for the last five years, has co-ordinated an increasing number of diverse satellite events during the week of 100% Design.'
In line with 100% Design, 100% East will be equally selective; exhibitors will be approved by the 100% Design advisory panel to ensure the high quality of exhibitors expected at any 100% event.
How to exhibit and costs
100% East is a juried event. If you are interested in exhibiting at 100% East, you must submit an application form. All application forms must be accompanied by, literature and images of proposed stand design.
Costs
Space only: £120 per sqm (minimum 5 sqm)
Traditional Shell Scheme: £160 per sqm (minimum 5 sqm)
All shell stands are constructed using traditional wooden partitions with exhibitor name board (no fascias). Shell scheme also includes even stand lighting (non-directional lighting) and flooring.
Registration fee:
£100 for stands under 10 per sqm
£150 for stands of 10 per sqm and over.
Costs include PR and marketing support, directory entry, and complimentary visitor tickets for regular opening days, tickets to private view and 24-hour security. The number of ticket allocated will be determined by stand size taken.
