Neenah Paper Sponsors "The Graphic Imperative" Poster Exhibition in New York
Neenah Paper is sponsoring a thought-provoking exhibition of influential political posters, titled, "The Graphic Imperative: International Posters of Peace, Social Justice and the Environment 1965-2005," at AIGA's National Design Center at 164 Fifth Avenue in New York City from June 15, 2006 to August 18, 2006. "The Graphic Imperative" features international posters about such important themes as racism, sexism, civil rights, environmental and health concerns, war, literacy and tolerance.
"Neenah Paper is proud to sponsor this event," says Tom Wright, Director of Advertising and Design for the fine paper manufacturer. "Seeing the posters together really drives home how powerful a graphic design tool they can be. These politically charged posters have symbolized and helped propel social and environmental change throughout the world. That means paper, as an integral part of the posters, has helped serve as an agent of change."
Neenah Paper, which also commissioned the delightful poster series Punc't, is committed to showcasing the masterful work of graphic designers and highlighting their critical role in American culture.
