Jocelyn Dimsey Named Executive Vice President of the Sterling Brands
Jocelyn Dimsey (age 34) has been promoted to the new position of Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Sterling Brands Design Group, effective immediately, announced Debbie Millman, president. She was previously general manager of the design group.
"Jocelyn has been with Sterling Brands over seven years and in that time has been responsible for helping Sterling grow in many directions, including corporate communications, corporate identity, web communications and, most recently, masterfully running Sterling's design new business function," said Millman. "She has helped nurture and grow significant client accounts."
In her new role Dimsey will be responsible for running the new business and account groups, and will work closely with senior management to run all functions of the design group.
"There is really no one like Jocelyn at Sterling. She brings a calm, collected, stylish, intelligent and charming persona to the firm, and this promotion is a well-deserved and important appointment to one of Sterling's brightest and most beloved stars," added Millman.
Dimsey has 13 years of experience in brand strategy, marketing communications, brand identity design, package design and entertainment branding. She is passionate about engaging clients with branding or design challenges and with insight, inspiration and creative solutions. Over the years at Sterling Brands, Dimsey has worked with Unilever, SAP, Citigroup, Sotheby's, Sony, Thresher Group (the UK's largest drinks retailer) and the NBA. Before Sterling she was involved in marketing planning and event production for a marketing communications firm.
A long time New Yorker, Dimsey lives in Manhattan with her husband Christopher (VP Investment Banking at Lehman Brothers) and six-month-old son Cayden. Her other interests include sailing (she grew up sailing on Long Island Sound), skiing, food and wine and travel.
