Expansion at Behavior Design
To accommodate strong account growth and new business wins, Behavior Design has added five professionals. The new hires include Imari Oliver, Director of Project Management; Anthony Armendariz, Creative Director; Dana Kurtin, Project Manager; David Wu, Technology Specialist; and George Matthes, Senior Software Engineer. "This talented team ensures that Behavior will continue to offer the best creative and technological services to our clients, forming a stronger foundation for growth and helping expand and deepen Behavior's future service offerings," noted partner Chris Fahey-.
Imari Oliver, Director of Project Management In his leadership role at Behavior, Imari Oliver is responsible for expanding and deepening Behavior's growing project management discipline, delivering successful projects on-time and on-budget, strengthening development processes and methodologies, and building valuable client relationships.
Before joining Behavior, Imari was at Grey Interactive and at Euro RSCG-4D, where he managed complex web application projects and integrated advertising engagements for clients such as IBM, Intel, Mars Inc., HarrisDirect, Nokia, Progressive Insurance, CIBAVision, and Polaroid.
Imari has won awards from the Web Marketing Association for his work on Kmart, IBM, and Communication Arts for the Ad Council's Blood Saves Campaign. He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Anthony Armendariz, Creative Director Creative Director Anthony Armendariz will lead the creative, branding, and visual design dimensions of Behavior client projects, drawing on his diverse client list and creative direction experience.
Before joining Behavior's New York team, the Texas native was a senior art director at Rapp Collins Worldwide in Dallas, and ran his own agency, Dialogue Design, for five years. Before that, he was a web designer and information architect at AMD and FG Squared Interactive in Austin. Anthony has designed web sites for Best Buy, XM Radio, Direct TV, Toyota, The Bombay Company, Hitachi, Michael's Art & Crafts, and Brinker International. He is a graduate of The Art Institute of Dallas.
Dana Kurtin, Project Manager Dana Kurtin is a 10-year veteran of DC Comics, and joins the Behavior team as a Project Manager. She will report to Imari Oliver. In her stellar career at DC Comics, Dana served as the main liaison for all interactive projects, responsible for brand integrity and developing all story and character development. She oversaw development for multiple titles, including Batman Begins, Teen Titans Go, and Justice League Heroes, across many platforms and interfaced with studios such as Sony Online, Warner Bros., WB Animation, and the Cartoon Network.
Dana also directed the acquisition of key Japanese manga licenses for print in the U.S. for DC's Wildstorm imprint, and directed and edited titles such as Superman, Aquaman, and Green Lantern, as well as properties including Looney Tunes, Scooby Doo, Animaniacs, the Powerpuff Girls, and Dexter's Lab.
Dana has an MA from the NYU Tisch Interactive Telecommunications Program and a double BA from the University of California at Berkeley.
David Wu, Technology Specialist David Wu comes to Behavior with a record of over 10 years of experience in the field as a web developer and internet software engineer. Before joining the Behavior team, David was at Abstract Edge where he worked on the development of websites for the Loews Corporation, Marriott Hotels, and Atkins, among others. Previously, he was a Senior Quality Assurance Supervisor for Barnes & Noble.com, and he has contributed his skills to several emerging film and theater groups. David reports to Behavior's Director of Technology, Lawrence Edmondson. David has a degree from The State University of New York at Albany and enjoys ice hockey, golf and strategy games when time permits.
George Matthes, Senior Software Engineer George Matthes joins Behavior's expanding technology team as a senior software engineer. George is responsible for leading both front- and back-end coding projects, and reports to Behavior's Director of Technology, Lawrence Edmondson. Previously, George was the lead developer and architect for The Federal Reserve Bank of New York's website, having custom designed a number of programs for this important institution. Prior to the Fed, he was at R/GA where he was the lead developer for clients including Nike, Ericsson, and IBM. George is a graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
