Acclaimed UK Designer Nina Campbell Joins Dulux Colour Awards

Dulux is delighted to confirm the appointment of one of the world's most influential interior designers, Nina Campbell, as the third 2007 Dulux Colour Awards judge.
Dulux spokesperson Andrea Lucena-Orr outlined the rationale behind Ms. Campbell's involvement in the Awards:
"Ms Campbell's designs have become icons in the world of style. Her expertise extends to all facets of interior design yet the importance of colour in her work is clearly paramount. This is evident not only in her client work but also her own private projects - she is undoubtedly a passionate, fearless advocate for colour in design!
We believe Ms Campbell's outstanding professional experience and her witty, thoroughly modern sense of style add an exciting shade to the 2007 Dulux Colour Awards," said Lucena-Orr.
Ms. Campbell will join Australian architects Abbie Galvin, principal Bligh Voller Nield and Tim O'Sullivan, principal Multiplicity to judge next year's submissions in the prestigious design Awards, now in their 21st year.
Ms. Campbell is renowned for her elegant style highlighted by a rich palette of colours and fabrics. Her glamorous and unashamedly luxurious approach to design has resulted in work for the Duke and Duchess of York, Queen of Denmark, Rod Stewart, Annabel's private club in London and Villa Nova in Barbados, but to name a few.
A string of impressive Awards are testimony to the skill and style behind Ms. Campbell's designs. The Royal Oak Foundation "Timeless Design Award," American Fashion Award for "the woman who has most influenced style internationally," and the Waterford Wedgwood Hospitality Award are just some of the accolades received in recent years.
Highly regarded as one of Britain's foremost ambassadors of contemporary style, Ms. Campbell brings to the Dulux Colour Awards international repute; continuing the Awards' premium standing within the design industry.
"I really believe that colour is so much a part of life and it brings such pleasure to people's lives, therefore it has always been an integral part of my work in design. Colour and its combinations is such a wonderful way to express yourself and create a personal style and so I strive to help my clients do this. To be asked to be involved in the Dulux colour awards is such an honour, not least because Dulux to me is brand synonymous with wonderful colour," said Campbell.
Submissions for the 2007 Dulux Colour Awards are now welcome, with entries closing by 31 January 2007.
Entrants in the 21st Awards will be judged firstly by a panel of Dulux representatives, with the shortlist then submitted to Dulux Colour Awards judges - Campbell, Galvin and O'Sullivan.
An exclusive Awards ceremony will be held in Melbourne in February 2007, when a prize pool of $25,000 - including a $17,000 Grand Prix prize - will be announced.
