Cycle to Cannes Relay Baton: International Competition Winner Announced

Baharash Bagherian has been selected as the winner of an international competition to design the 2007 Cycle to Cannes relay baton.
The competition chaired by Peter Murray, the chairman of London Architecture Biennale, called for Artists/ Designers/ Architects to design a relay baton for Cycle to Cannes 2007.
This March, 100 riders will be cycling 1500km in 4 days, to MIPIM 2007 to raise more than £250,000 for four important charities: Land Aid, The Tom Ap Rhys Pryce Memorial Trust, Sarah Matheson Trust and Architects for Aid (A4A).
Baharash Bagherian will have his baton carried from London to Cannes and handed to Ken Livingstone [mayor of London] on the London stand along with a cheque for the money raised for charity.
