Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum and Library Book Awarded International Recognition
HOW Magazine's 2008 International Design Annual, now on newsstands, has awarded Creativille's book design entry, "Mary Todd Lincoln: First Lady of Controversy," an award of Merit. No other design firm in the St. Louis market was selected for this year's design annual.
The now award-winning book, "Mary Todd Lincoln: First Lady of Controversy," is the first book collaboration between design firm, Creativille, Inc of Edwardsville, Illinois, and The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, Springfield, Illinois.
Creativille is the only St. Louis area design firm to be recognized. "It's rare not see other designers from our (St. Louis) market being celebrated in the International Design Annual," says Steve Hartman, President and Creative Director of Creativlle, Inc. "We have great talent around the Greater St. Louis Area. Frankly, I'm surprised."
The book is a companion book to an exhibit of the same title held at the Presidential Museum last year. Currently, an exhibit titled "Packaging Presidents" is on display, and the companion book being designed by Creativille is currently in production.
