Behavior Redesigns Imaginova's Leading Science News & Information Web Site
Behavior, a premiere NewYork-based interactive agency was retained by Imaginova, a leading content and commerce company focused on science and technology, to help redesign its popular science news and information web site, LiveScience. Since its launch in 2004, LiveScience has provided millions of dedicated, intellectually curious readers with original and timely content. Imaginova approached Behavior in an effort to reinvigorate the site's design to enhance the user experience and introduce new revenue opportunities.
Behavior believed that a combination of modern aesthetics and improved page-level information architecture would expose more relevant and attractive content to LiveScience readers and reach a larger segment of its target audience. Behavior aimed to produce a new visual approach that is clean and flexible in order to present diverse new content types within a more elegant design scheme.
Behavior worked with Imaginova's creative and technical teams on all aspects of the redesign in a close and collaborative effort. Interactive features such as videos, blogs, social networking and RSS feeds were added or upgraded to permit more exciting content and revenue generation opportunities, from e-commerce to diverse advertising options.
"Behavior's core strength is understanding our clients' audiences and their business goals, and how they evolve over time. For LiveScience, we came up with creative ways of integrating advertising that still pops and captures the attention of the reader, while introducing new page-level features and functionality that encourages users to explore and delve deeper into the site's rich content," says Christopher Fahey, partner at Behavior Design.
"Behavior understood our needs and delivered impressive results quickly," said David Arcara, Vice President and General Manager of Consumer Media at Imaginova Corp. "Their collaborative approach, creativity and depth of industry knowledge served us well. We now have a Web site that's even better suited to accommodate our continued growth."
