Ben Hirby and Zack Schulze Grow Planet Propaganda's Interactive Capabilities
Expanding Planet Propaganda's interactive strengths and capabilities, Ben Hirby has returned as the company's interactive director and Zack Schulze has joined as interactive designer.
Working closely with each other and their colleagues, Hirby and Schulze support such projects as: * developing games and other enhancements for Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwiches, * online sales training for Bretford furniture, * adding podcasts and Web-based training for Trek Bicycle Corporation's independent retailers through Trek University, and * launching Sparc -- Retail Fidelity interactive sales training and incentive programs including Burton snowboards.

Ben Hirby, Interactive Director A nine-year Planetoid, Hirby returns to the design, advertising, interactive company following a two-year hiatus in Chicago where he worked as interactive creative director for Avenue Marketing & Communications, which lists Interface FLOR, Weber Grills, BzzAgent,TurboChef and Canyon Ranch health and wellness resorts on its roster. Prior to joining Avenue, Hirby provided students with an introduction to graphic design his alma mater, Knox College in Galesburg, Ill. While teaching, he continued to work as a freelance designer contributing to Planet Propaganda, as well as to Martino Paper, Anderson Illustration and Relic Wines.
Blending personal passions and professional expertise, Hirby's 14-year career includes such notable clients as Yoko Ono, Walker Art Center, Mohawk Paper, PunchStock, Gary Fisher Mountain Bikes, Mercury Marine, Target, Famous Footwear, Rollerblade, and Mountain Dew. His work has been featured in Communication Arts, Graphis, HOW, Print, and books from Rockport Publishers. In October, Hirby will serve as a judge for Applied Arts' interactive annual. The panel of judges and the winning entries will be published in March 2008 reaching 65,000 readers in the global creative community.

Zack Schulze, Interactive Designer Dedicated solely to designing and pushing the bounds of interactive media, Schulze was recruited to Planet after completing his bachelor's degree at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. In his past experience, he helped create award-winning interactive Web sites and Flash applications for clients such as Volkswagon, Johnson Outdoors, Horizon fitness equipment, Trek Bicycle Corporation, Nike Cycling, Wolverine boots and shoes, and Burton Snowboards.
A multi-talented, multi-tasker, Schulze's started a freelance design business during high school and has amassed a portfolio that now includes Third Shift Records, Burst Collective, Uprising Records, and the classic rock band Hearts of Stone of which Schulze is a member. One of his most recognized freelance projects was clothing design for Buell Motorcycles.
