Craft Design Technology

azzami

CDT believes in bringing these three disciplines together by evolving design through the use of craft and technology. Wallpaper selected this brand as most creative stationery in the world in 2006. The philosophy of Craft Design Technology meets the needs of the modern consumer - certainty, tradition, innovation, beauty, and simplicity. These elements deliver form and relevance to the CDT offer. CDT brings a new benchmark in design quality to essential everyday objects, services and experiences. In a world devoted to the digital and the throw-away, CDT believe in the rarity of physical objects that are beautiful, functional and enduring. In manufacturing, we aim to establish only the area where the three elements of Craft, Design and Technology meet. Our aim is not only the area of design product but also the manufacturing with the trinity.

CDT is committed to developing a range of objects and concepts to enrich lives through their enhancement of our working process, improvement of our personal environment and through devotion to every detail. This is the essence of Craft Design Technology, an essence set to expand from the object into the wider world - from desk to office to building and beyond.

Alliance
The first thing created by CDT is the cross industry organization, which is extremely unique.

Under one common concept to make a brand, CDT has realized the better product development as well as the high quality and specialty, with the expertise of each company.

CDT has the design code to remain as brand.

Code 01 : Colour
The Japanese traditional colours are applied to the items of CDT. We select colour, considering the character of the product. For example, the colour of burgeon, light green, which is classic, gentle to eyes and gives the sense of breath of life, is applied to the products which will be used for long time such as pencils.

Code 02 : Pattern
CDT has its distinctive graphic pattern which is unique and inspired from the beauty of the pattern originated from the Sanada-himo. Sanada-himo is the Japanese traditional braid cord used on the Samurai sword and also used as Obidome (which is to fix OBI) for KIMONO, and now used to bind the boxes of paulownia which contains the tea utensils and so on. CDT products use this pattern on the secret file folders.

Code 03 : Angle
One of the most important factors for the product design of CDT is the setting of angle. In nature, the golden ration ensures the fine balance and stability, and the silver ratio the most beautiful in the artifact. The angle of handles of our scissors is designed based on the logo of "CDT" and the ergonomics, and both the left and right-handed can use.
