hyDrop Illuminated Bollards: Designed by Murat Armagan
Murat Armagan Design studio created hyDrop - street lighting product range - for Polight, Ozlem Aydinlatma. The design team aim at contextually rich designs with multifunctional applications residing in simple body forms. hyDrop, street illuminated bollard, is a drop-shape inspired design aiming to capture positive emotional value, great geometry and beauty of drop's curve. This gentle geometrical but organic-echoing form creates emotionally rich surroundings.
hyDrop's colour options can be extended to suit versatile architectonic concepts allowing the bollards to be visually exposed or hidden. Closed shape of the lighting head protects the inner parts from atmospheric conditions and, more importantly, makes it vandalism-resistant. Modular construction allows product range extension by the exchange of lighting head style or pole height. hyDrop's functionality does not limit to bringing light to urban, public and private spaces. It is also designed to organize, demarcate, locate, indicate, guide and structure for better and more pleasurable space utility.
