Ligne Roset Announces the Brand's First-ever Participation at Art Basel Miami Beach
Celebrating Design Visionaries Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec

As one of the world's leading companies in luxury and contemporary furniture design, Ligne Roset is delighted to announce its first-ever participation at the upcoming Art Basel | Miami Beach international art show. Ligne Roset's inaugural presence at this highly anticipated fair - taking place December 6 - 9, 2007 - is an important milestone in the brand's history and will be celebrated with the unveiling of a project by the Bouroullec Brothers at the Art Guest Lounge.
As the one and only contemporary furniture sponsor and official Lounge Host at the Art Basel | Miami Beach show, Ligne Roset will furnish the exclusive and well-attended Art Collectors Lounge and Art Guest Lounge.
A selection of Ligne Roset's most stellar designs will be prominently showcased throughout the Art Collectors and Art Guest Lounges. These include the Bobine adjustable table designed by Michael Koenig, the Good Morning table by Alban-Sébastien Gilles, the Pam barstool by Claudio Dondoli and Marco Pocci from Archirivolto and the Facett collection by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. Entirely designed by the Bouroullec Brothers, the Ligne Roset booth at the Art Guest Lounge will offer a tribute to the award-winning Facett designs, including the Facett armchair and sofa as well as the recently introduced Facett dining chair. Facett made its debut with the Ligne Roset collection at the 2005 Design Show in Köln. This design-forward line is unique. It is exclusively made from foam, without any visible structure or feet; it's a compact yet comfortable design that is inspired by the art of origami. The Bouroullecs' über-contemporary space will also showcase "North Tiles," an artistic and ingenious wall-unit created by the French designers for the innovative Danish textile brand, Kvadrat. North Tiles has recently been accepted into The Museum of Modern Art's design collection in New York.
"We are honored to take part in Art Basel Miami Beach for the first time in the history of our company. I consider Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec true alchemists of modern design and look forward to working with them on this project," says Pierre Roset, CEO of Ligne Roset. "I am an art collector myself and never miss the opportunity to take a scouting trip to the top international art shows," Monsieur Roset adds on his upcoming trip to Miami.
"As long time partners with Michel and Pierre Roset, my brother, Ronan, and I were thrilled to support Ligne Roset's strong presence at Art Basel | Miami Beach. We had to be part of it!" exclaims Erwan Bouroullec. "The space that we created reflects our vision of modern design that we commonly share with the brand - a mix of deliberately simple yet bold colors, materials and shapes for contemporary living."
Additionally, during the art show, Ligne Roset will debut Inga Sempé's new Moël design, Moël Dossier Bas, a low-back version of the charming, stylish Moël that has been awarded "Best of the Best Red Dot Award" for the highest quality design this year. Moël Dossier Bas will be exclusively showcased at the new 7,200 square-foot Ligne Roset store, designed by celebrated talent Didier Gomez and located in the heart of Miami's Design District. Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec are currently envisioning a unique store display for the duration of Art Basel | Miami Beach.
"The Design District has become the creative pulse of Miami, a city that for me has always been a multicultural platform for design and innovation from the Americas. It is vital for us to be part of this dynamic environment while celebrating art and design", says Antoine Roset from Roset USA, Ligne Roset's branch for North America.
