Stardust Studios Adds Executive Producer in New York
Announces Key Promotions and Reorganization
 Mike Eastwood
While also announcing the hiring of industry veteran Mike Eastwood in the position of executive producer for its New York-based studio, bicoastal U.S. creative production company Stardust Studios today heralded several other key promotions and relocations meant to bolster operations on both coasts.
In New York, former design director Alan Bibby is being promoted to creative director. From Stardust West, former designer Kinda Akash will relocate to New York with the new title of senior art director. Also moving from West to East is producer Lindsay Yacura.
In Santa Monica, former design director Brad Tucker has also earned the promotion to creative director, and art director Neil Tsai is being promoted to the position of design director.
Until his departure last year, Mike Eastwood had been the executive producer for Eyeball NYC since 1999, and he also simultaneously held the same position with commercial music shop Expansion Team, which was launched within Eyeball's studio in 2002. Eastwood admitted being attracted by Stardust's overall work, its vibe, and Banks' sincerity and desires regarding growth and operational goals for his East Coast studio. "I like Jake's style, and considering the relatively young age of the company, I'm impressed at the quality and diversity of work that they're producing worldwide from the two offices, and how quickly they've risen within the industry."
"Mike brings us over ten years of experience and a deep knowledge of production - and the industry as a whole," said Jake Banks, Stardust's founder and executive creative director. "He is a natural fit to our culture, and to where we are as a company. Stardust will be celebrating our five-year anniversary this year, and we have a lot of very exciting things shaping up in New York. Having Mike here will help us accelerate to the next level."
Earlier this year, Stardust appointed Corey Cirillo as its executive producer. As a part of these key personnel moves meant to strengthen operations on both coasts, Cirillo will continue to serve as the executive producer for Stardust West in Santa Monica.
Stardust is an award-winning creative production company, specializing in motion design, animation, visual effects and live- action production. Led by founder and executive creative director Jake Banks, Stardust's Santa Monica and New York offices continually redefine creativity for commercial, on-air, music video and in-store presentations. Their recent work - including projects for the world's top ad agencies, brands and recording artists - has earned numerous awards and worldwide editorial exposure.
