Hostway Launches Web Design ContestWeb hosting provider Hostway said on Friday that it is conducting its first national search for the best Web designers in the United States currently attending kindergarten to eighth grade.
Hostway will award a prize for one elementary student (grades k-5) and one middle school student (grades 6-8). The two winners will each receive a Dell Inspiron 8600 Laptop computer, 12 months of free Hostway Web hosting under the “personal site” plan and national recognition as "America's Youngest Web Wizard."
Hostway said the contest, "Americas Youngest Web Wizard," was launched to honor the best young Web designers and raise awareness of the importance of technology education in elementary and middle school.
"Hostway is very eager to showcase the technological successes of these bright and talented kids," says John Lee, vice president and general manager of Hostway. "After all, they are the Web designers, technologists and CIOs of tomorrow."
Entries can be submitted to www.hostway.com/we bwizard. The deadline is February 28, 2005. Winners will be announced before March 31, 2005.
