Bicoastal full service Interactive Agency, ROKKAN creates the newest site from acclaimed producer Danger Mouse and the uber talented Cee-Lo Green who collectively make up Gnarls Barkley.
Their 2008 album, The Odd Couple takes the quirky relationship between the two to the next level.
ROKKAN created a site that reflects the dynamic nature of the artists and album.
With so much going into music these days in addition to beats and lyrics, it was important to capture personality.
The site needed to have the ability to relay Gnarls Barkley.s standout qualities and carry their personas across the digital space.
Color and functionality were the major components ROKKAN kept in mind when designing this space.
Taking Gnarls' amazing sound and often times humorously animated relationship to the digital space allowed for ROKKAN to create an environment that was a departure from reality.
The site uses funky characterizations of the duo and bright saturated colors to emulate this distorted world where the user can interact, watch, listen and learn about a true mark on pop culture.

New York-based design, animation and VFX studio, rhinofx recently collaborated with Uncle Director Gavin Bowden to create two :30 spots for Toyota which showcase the best-selling Camry and RAV4 with transformation techniques that take viewers both in and out of the vehicle and across CG backgrounds.
The company used a combination of live-action and CG manipulation techniques to showcase both the broad appeal and versatility of the vehicles.
The Camry tours the city as a variety of people imagine themselves inside, while the RAV4 rambles through an ever-changing backdrop alternating between mountainous terrain and an urban environment.
"The biggest challenges for the series were in determining exactly how to integrate the visual elements into completely seamless transitions," said rhinofx CD/VFX Director Vico Sharabani.
"It was like trying to figure out a puzzle, with the previs, motion control, and production requiring pretty extensive planning."

Behavior Design has developed a web-based program for art institutions that allows for simple and convenient methods of tracking exhibition schedules and related events in one easy-to-use system.
The Exhibition Schedule Application (ESA) is presently being utilized by PaceWildenstein, one of the world's premier art galleries, representing seminal 20th- and 21st-century artists such as Chuck Close, Tara Donovan, Alexander Calder, Alex Katz, Robert Rauschenberg and Joel Shapiro, among others.
Since 1960, PaceWildenstein has presented over 600 exhibitions of more than 240 artists and published approximately 275 catalogues.
With a growing number of exhibitions and events each year, PaceWildenstein needed a manageable application with the structure to maintain a historical timeline of events as well as the ability to project future schedules that was easily accessible to staff at all three gallery locations in New York City.
Behavior's Exhibition Schedule Application was created for easy input, revisions and maintenance of information relating to the intricate planning and execution of an institution's exhibition programming.
The Exhibition Schedule Application is a color-coded linear timeline that enables users to visualize overlapping events, import calendars and access notes in different formats and modes of viewing.
