When Rob O'Hara needs a serious video game fix, he unwinds a black rubber joystick and plays a few rounds of "Space Invaders" on his Atari 2600, vintage 1982.
The 30-year-old networking engineer owns newer Xbox, PlayStation 2 and GameCube consoles, but for a true gaming geek like O'Hara, nothing tops the blocky graphics and simple sound effects of retro video games.
"Playing games was a big part of my childhood," says the Yukon, Okla., man. "Back then, it seems like games were more family-oriented, and as a result, families ended up playing a lot of games together."
O'Hara is no relic in his love of 1980s electronic nostalgia.

The Japanese National Art Museum has announced that it has confirmed what it believes to be the oldest Japanese example of the mixture of animation and real photography on film. Kemuri Kusa Monogatari (The tale of the Smoke weed) was produced by Japanese animation pioneer Noburo Ofuji (1900-1961) in 1924.
The discovery has been likened to a precious excavation, "Where one can already feel the latent potential of currently world leading Japanese animation."
The museum will show the 3-minute silent movie during its upcoming 'Japanese Animation Film History' exposition, starting on July 6th.
Hybrid, or Mixed animation was also produced in America around that period, but this is the first time that a film of this type has been definitively confirmed to have been created in Japan during that period. For his animation, Ofuji colored on paper (not film or celluloid), a technique that was typical of his animation projects of the time.

Being a Pocket PC theme, an extended theme changes what a standard theme should change (background, system colors, etc). However, it additionally changes the design of Pocket Plus indicators, taskbar battery indicator, and Close button task manager. Moreover extended themes contain native support for landscape mode.
Spb Software House held the Spb Extended Theme Design Contest that has finished on June 23rd. During the contest we have received several very professional extended themes with landscape support. Visitors of several Pocket PC-related web sites voted for the themes and here are the results:
