Adobe announced a new version of Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro, the company's comprehensive Web conferencing and eLearning solution.
The version includes new functionality that enriches online communication and collaboration, enabling organizations and schools to offer more engaging rapid training, interactive virtual classes and dynamic online meetings.
Acrobat Connect Pro includes many new features for Web conferencing such as options for archiving and editing recorded online meetings; new presence capabilities that can allow federation with popular instant messaging (IM) clients; and powerful compliance and usage reporting tools.
eLearning enhancements include break-out rooms to let students in virtual classes initiate separate conversations online; rapid authoring of video-based content; integration with Learning Management Systems (LMS) from Blackboard and SumTotal; and tools that track and organize online classes.
Users also can easily tailor training sessions or meetings that help capture participants' attention and increase knowledge retention, resulting in an online learning experience remarkably similar to an in-person class.
Combined with the new version of Adobe Presenter, also introduced today, Acrobat Connect Pro can enable users to hold engaging online meetings that incorporate high-impact Adobe Flash Player compatible presentations.

Behavior Design, an interactive design firm, was retained by National Geographic Channel (NGC) to re-design and re-imagine their television channel home web site.
Behavior, in collaboration with NGC, drove the project with two core objectives in mind, first, to motivate viewer "tune-in" and second, to cultivate fan enthusiasm for NGC's leading non-fiction programming.
As a leveraging goal, Behavior aimed to build a groundbreaking broadband companion to NGC's highly-acclaimed broadcast channel.
The result is an immersive, image-rich user experience that engages the audience online and offline.
For NGC, Behavior created the industry's most innovative TV schedule.
Instead of simply displaying a boring table with static text, Behavior created an interactive, pictorial module that allows users to drag and slide through the four week schedule, making it easier to browse shows.
Viewers can smoothly navigate air dates and times (for all six time zones), read show descriptions, and watch video previews.
In addition, users can opt to send themselves and friends tune-in reminders via mobile phone or email.

The website for the Karneval der Kulturen in Berlin has been relaunched.
Torsten Mayer Rotbarth collaborated with Nick Kapica at SV who designed the poster, adverts and booklet for this years "Carnival of Cultures" which now in its 13th year has become a major event within the Berlin calendar.
This is the fourth redesign and the organizers have chosen to work again with SV Associates who since creating the Carnival logotype in 1986 have been generating all of the required communication materials.
The new website concept provides the organizers with a powerful tool to arrange and communicate the diverse content surrounding this annual three day event.
Over 100 groups take part in the street procession, the street festival has 380 stalls and 130 live acts perform on six stages while countless parties accompany the festival.
Working to a tight budget SV Associates have managed -by reorganizing and restructuring the content- to provide an attractive, functional website which can be constantly updated as the event develops throughout the year.
Website visitors are able to access relevant information easier and quicker to help plan their individual carnival experience.

Take it to the next level is the challenge leveled in the new global football initiative created by 72andSunny and Nike to inspire, motivate and help footballers become better.
The cornerstone of the launch is a two-minute film directed by Guy Ritchie through Anonymous Content called The Next Level, which takes viewers literally inside the head of a rising football star competing against the world's top athletes and clubs.
"Taking your game to the next level is the obsession of every footballer, whatever your ability.
Our job is to provide inspiration to help them get there," said Glenn Cole, co-founder of 72andSunny.
"Helping Nike in its mission to be the number one brand in the world's number one sport is a great opportunity."
The two-minute film is shot from the POV of the player himself so the viewer experiences a life of success and failure, grit and glamour, plus the concussions, knocked-out teeth and rigorous training that come with the territory.
The hero, a star for his amateur club, is spotted by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and recruited to play against the world's best, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Ronaldinho and Wayne Rooney.
