Freestyle Collective Gets Its Freak OnDesign and production studio Freestyle Collective lends a hand as Turner Classic Movies sets the stage for so-bad-it's-good horror with UNDERGROUND, its newly inaugurated late night movie showcase.
Recently completing a set of six stylishly creepy animated spots, Freestyle builds the suspense for the weekly showcase.
The network's after hours' screenings are hosted by auteur filmmaker and legendary rocker Rob Zombie and launched back in October 2006, the spots will begin airing this month.
Featuring morbidly disturbing imagery, including a concession vendor decapitating himself and a disgruntled movie-goer killing noisy viewers with a shotgun, Freestyle Collective takes the viewer on a unsettling trip to the UNDERGROUND.
Situating themselves in the bizarre, the spots dabble in a variety of happy mediums from collages - "Roth," "Zombie", "Herb", "Coffee," "Moe/Curly" and "Vincent" - resulting in creepy captivation.
The former set also sports a cacophonous trumpet that sounding eerily like screams, while the latter tries its hand at a much more subtle sound scape, which given its accompanying content, is equally creepy.
