Motion Theory recently announced the hire of Angie Jones to the position of Animation Supervisor.
With more than 14 years of experience in creature and character animation for blockbuster films, TV, commercials and video games, Angie is charged with strengthening the studio's animation department, pushing the ideals of how computer animated characters look and move, and overseeing animation teams for all 3D and 2D project work.
Angie's portfolio boasts 12 films and over 30 commercials and video games.
Her work can be seen in major films including three-time Oscar winner, Pan's Labyrinth; Stuart Little, a VES Society award-winner for character animation; National Treasure and National Treasure: Book of Secrets; X2: X-Men United; Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed; Garfield and others.
Her commercial reel is equally impressive and includes her leadership role on Disney's '50th Anniversary' campaign as well as the AMP energy drink "Paper" spot, winner of the bronze Clio in 2007 and recently nominated for outstanding "Animated Character in a Live Action Broadcast Program or Commercial" by the Visual Effects Society (VES).
She has also contributed to spots for Coca-Cola, Chrysler, Nintendo, Popsicle, and Geico Insurance's iconic Gecko spots.
Additionally, Angie's work is found in popular video games such as, Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus, and Munch's Oddysee, Dino Crises 3 and Red Dead Revolver, to name a few.
