New Media BC Announces PopVox Awards WinnersWith more than 70 submissions from around the world and with thousands of digital content fans having registered to vote for their favourites, New Media BC today announced the winners of the second annual PopVox Awards.
The PopVox Award winners were revealed by Kenton Low, President of New Media BC at the closing gala of VIDFEST - Canada's biggest digital content event.
"The people have spoken and we offer congratulations to all of the winners", said Kenton Low, President, New Media BC.
"The competition was tight, the contestants exceeded expectations with their creativity and innovation and we're proud of the homegrown talent represented in the winner's circle".
Now in its second year, the PopVox (from vox populi - L. voice of the people) competition took place over a six-week period, with creators submitting and nominating their own work online throughout April 2008, followed by a public voting period from May 1-12.
