Arena Introduces Animation DiplomaTo meet the growing requirements of the animation industry, Arena Multimedia, a division of Aptech, has introduced Diploma in Animation Engineering. The "comprehensive" course is designed to equip students in animation techniques, keeping in mind the requirements and standards of the industry.
"If you observe the industry trends lately you will notice that animation is the next big thing. However, there were no courses to train the students in traditional hand animation techniques, which is the foundation of animation. We have incorporated this, apart from the advanced techniques, in this course," said Monali Jadhav, the manager of an Arena Multimedia center in Mumbai.
The course aims to equip students with the knowledge of animation techniques right from scratch. As part of the last semester (5th semester) of the two-and-half year course the students are required to make a demo reel that would assist himher in acquiring a job.
"Animation studios have particular requirements, according to which the training materials have been designed. It will train the student right from basic hand drawn animation techniques to being a professional animator," said Jadhav.
The course also includes training in Maya, a sophisticated animation tool that was used to create celluloid wonders like Jurassic Park, Mummy, Matrix
