Best Architecture Website of 2006 to be Named by Web Marketing AssociationThe Web Marketing Association announces the call for entries for its 10th annual international WebAward Competition.
The WebAwards is the standards-defining competition that sets industry benchmarks based on the seven criteria of a successful Web site.
The deadline for entry is May 31, 2006.
The architecture industry has been added as a new WebAward category in 2006 allowing firms to compete for the right to be honored as the Best Architecture Web site of 2006.
"The architecture industry is very competitive when it comes to Web development and architecture firms can benefit from the independent evaluation of their online efforts that the award judges provide," said William Rice, President of the Web Marketing Association.
"From a preliminary review of architecture industry Web sites, we believe there is an opportunity for some architecture firms to standout from rest.
These will be able to call themselves award-winning websites after participating in the WebAwards".
Web sites are judged on seven criteria including design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copy writing and ease of use and receive a numeric score.
Each WebAward entry is judged against other entries in its industry category and then against an overall standard of excellence.
