Checkland Kindleysides Creates Levi's Exhibition at BREAD & Butter EurovisionIn contrast to previous shows, our brief for BREAD & Butter, Barcelona & Berlin, 2006 was not to focus our concept around collections, but on the Levi’s brand.
Levi’s are the denim pioneers the original, authentic denim manufacturer.
And the brand can claim prestigious "firsts" in the denim industry including the first blue jean in 1850 & the first women’s jeans to appear in the pages of Vogue magazine.
Our concept plays to the cachet of the brand & gives the product an iconic, almost spiritual status.
Our exhibition design is a simple oak corral, the perimeter forming a backdrop to display the wealth of Levi’s firsts’ messages.
Breaks in the wall are filled with smoked glass which feature the Levi’s two-horse patch, creating intrigue & allowing a glimpse into the exhibition inside.
The stand sits directly onto the concrete exhibition hall floor projecting an authentic, raw statement encouraging a seamless flow from the show into the Levi’s environment.
Using our modern photographic interpretation of the famous two-horse patch logo we created a six metre high backdrop to the stand resulting in high visibility across the exhibition hall.
Customers are greeted at the reception desk which is constructed from a tactile, warm copper.
