New Zealand RunwayThe Auckland Viaduct won’t have a chance to relax after Air New Zealand Fashion Week, as the public will get its chance to celebrate the world of fashion food and design. A day after the final model exits the catwalk, the same Viaduct venue will be reignited in a celebration of all that is fashionable, inspiring and innovative.
New Zealand Runway, which runs from 22-25 October, will bring together the best creative talent New Zealand has to offer. The brainchild of event producers Charleen Oliver and Josh Gilbertson, the concept came to the pair about a year ago when they realised that while Fashion Week had been a great success, there wasn’t a public event of the same magnitude.
“Both Josh and I have had past experiences in events before and it just seemed to us that there was no premium consumer event that offers the opportunity for the public to be part of something special and upmarket,” says Ms Oliver. “There is so much talent and creativity bursting out of this country. We wanted to create a place where it can be showcased.”
