STILE BK is an Italian brand of custom made Tibetan carpets founded by Behrouz Kolahi.
The brand is a culmination of twenty years of experience in the field of Textile Design.
Our carpets are hand made in Nepal using ancient Tibetan techniques. Each carpet is individually designed and made to measure, presenting to our customers, individuals or firms, an assortment of over 500 projects, selecting from over 250 colors.
We only use natural fibers and colors in our designs, which combine techniques of kilim, sumac, and knotting. We are also proud to offer an exclusive cut in some collections that make the surface of the creation three dimensional.
At the Heimtexil 2004 in Hanover, Germany, STILE BK was regarded as one of the most innovative new brands.
This brand will be unveiled for the first time in the U.S. market for contemporary carpets, at the New York International Carpet Show (NYICS).
This event will be held at the North Pavilion of the Javits center, between the 27th and 30th of September. The featured New York collection will be the Terre, including the undercollections of Miraggi, Messi, Sfalci, and Arature.

Let creativity and personal talent take wing and fly...
For a company that works in the fashion world, giving young people an opportunity to contribute is an investment that pays off over time.
YKK has been a patron of artists and creative talent on the international level for many years.
Now, this Japanese multinational company governed by a strong business ethic is once again proving itself in a more ephemeral, but no less valuable, supporting role: as a "partner of creativity."
From July 15th through to the 17th, YKK's products took to the catwalk at the close of the ITS#FOUR competition, an event dedicated entirely to young designers.
Today, fewer and fewer companies are providing the kind of support required for young designers to establish a foothold in the industry, thereby denying tomorrow's designers the chance to express their talent today. YKK is making a difference here and now, by deliberately nurturing talent.
Presided over by a jury of professionals like Antonio Marras, Antonio Berardi and Wilbert Das, creative director for Diesel, 21 finalists from the most important fashion schools of the world (from Australia, Belgium, Denmark, India, UK, Israel, Holland, Poland, Russia and USA) had the chance to focus the attention of both the public and the media on their creations at the free port of Trieste

Arts Council England in partnership with Camden Council Arts & Tourism is launching a national Youth Carnival Designer Award as part of the youth programme for the international On Route Carnival Conference taking place this October.
Young people from across the country will be asked to design costumes representing a carnival king, queen, prince or princess and 12 winners will receive prizes up to the value of £1000.
The awards will be announced at a Mask and Mas Ball on 18 October as part of the conference and the winners' work will be transformed into 5ft x 3ft banners which will decorate the On Route venue, the Camden Centre, during the conference. The artwork will also be exhibited in The Swiss Cottage Central Library.
The On Route Carnival Conference is the first international carnival conference in Europe.
Earlier this month, the Arts Council published its National Carnival Arts Strategy which set out how the Arts Council will support the cultural, artistic and professional development of carnival arts in the near future.
The strategy aims to provide the carnival arts sector with the same awareness of and access to funding as other artforms and to act as an advocacy tool for the increased recognition of carnival as an artform.
