With the second CRYSTALLIZED Cosmos exhibition in Hong Kong, Swarovski - the world's leading manufacturer of cut crystal - will present a creative outlook on its trends for Spring/Summer 2006.
Direct, Liquid Sunshine, Acid Candy, Light & Shadow and Grand Hotel, along with a broad range of stunning interpretations created by selected designers, to be presented at Asia's Fashion Jewelry and Accessories Fair in Hong Kong, between June 18 and 21, 2005.
The season Spring/Summer 2006 will take inspirations from disparate destinations and travel broadening the wardrobe.
The best journeys leave indelible memories of what we have seen, touched, smelt, heard and felt. Creativity is mobility, not only in a geographical sense.
Mobility and style are unconditionally linked providing an escape from boredom and stress of everyday life. In fashion this means transcending borders of time, space, cultures, social classes and genres.
Amongst the highlights will be creative interpretations from top Asian, American and European designers and brands such as Malcom Guerre, Rene Coster, Noboru Shionoya, Wang Pei Hao, Italina, Neoglory, Artist Empire and many others.
Made exclusively for this project, their crystal designs illustrate the new trends and show the endless creative variety of Swarovski crystal.

The Nokia Cape Town Fashion Week promises to not only highlight the glitz and glamour of the African fashion world, but also to focus on promoting the ailing clothing and textile industry.
Celebrity Gerry Rantseli, spokesperson for the event that will take place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from August 10 to 13, said on Wednesday: "The time has come for Africa to look within and to celebrate in its rebirth. That is why everyone in the fashion world should be looking at ways of breathing life back into the diminishing local clothing and textile industry."
Currently the industry is facing various challenges, such a job losses and closures of factories due to the recent increase of cheap Chinese imports. Thousands of jobs have already been lost.
Rantseli, who was born in District Six and brought up in Mitchell's Plain, said she identified with people working in the industry because she had many family members whose livelihoods depended on the clothing and textile industry.
Fashion Week organisers hoped that by showcasing the strengths, diversity, affordabilty and high quality of local products, they would be able to encourage South Africans to buy locally manufactured clothing, textiles and footwear and in turn, save many jobs.

Since its inception in 2001, Philosophy Men has been challenging men's fashion with their edgy, exciting and outrageous line of menswear.
Tired of the limited range of menswear found in department stores, founders Tino Soon and Allan Chan decided it was time for men to have some fun with their outfits.
The duo also decided that instead of holding sales, they would hold "country promotions".
Like its sister brand for women Salabianca, Philosophy will have a collection based on the adopted fashion style of a chosen country each year.
This year it is Japan, a great place to push your fashion boundaries.
There, men are as appearance-conscio us as the women, with some young men having manicures, facials or plucking their eyebrows without shame.
Stroll down hip sections of Japan such as Harajuku or Sinjuku, and you will see young lads strolling about in colourful hip-hop wear, punk or Goth styles; their hair brightly coloured or in dreadlocks.
Kimono with Japanese motif applique over a beige tee and graphic print shorts.
Philosophy's latest Japanese-influence d collection is named "Japan Japan".
The crew flew over to Japan for their photoshoot, and made Kyoto their background to feature the Japan Japan collection, made possible with the support of Sony, Clinique Cosmetics, Japan Airlines International (JAL)

AIDS care program. Hosted by the legendary Lypsinka, the event was more botanical garden than wild concrete jungle, but still drenched in fabulousness.
Entitled "Tulips & Pansies - The Headdress Affair," this was the fourth of VCNY's such pageants, in which fashion folks such as Alice Roi and Austin Scarlett (of Project runway fame) worked with a living weave of blossoms and garlands to produce floral head-ware of the most outrageous sort.
In preparation, a small army of men, women and those in-between worked furiously backstage amidst gowns, makeup and pruning shears. "I've been here since 5:30," designer Nico de Swert confided gesturing to the half-naked model for David Beahm's tribal headdress, "but there are plenty of distractions."
Nico, who collaborated with Simon Doonan for his sun hat of bleached willow and santini chrysanthemums, walked away with the award for Most Beautiful - not surprising as Nico's book, Living with Flowers (Harry Abrams) was also released this week.
The event could have been called Flowers & Feathers, for it seems that the two have some sort of affinity. Two fowl-inspired bonnets represented, a twin-headed swan by Studio Artiflora and an Asian-tinged rose bird by Chinyere Unagi. (The latter walked away with an award for Most Original.)
