 Baltic Fashion Award Goes to Polish, German DesignersPolish and German fashion designers received Baltic Fashion Awards on Saturday, a prize sponsored by the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and the three popular sea resorts, the so-called Kaiserbaeder of Heringsdorf, Ahlbeck and Bansin.The German Adrian Sommerauer was awarded for his menswear "London" collection,while Antonia Goy of Berlin was honoured for her women's collection "Flap."  Isaac Mizrahi Quitting as Target DesignerFor five years, the New York fashion designer has been selling a relatively low-priced collection - dresses for less than $60 - exclusively at Target, bringing chic fashions and his name to a whole new audience.Now, after an extraordinary run, the designer is leaving. He has taken a job as chief creative director of Liz Claiborne. The fall collection in stores now is his last.  Steinunn Sigurdardottir: Icelandic Designer Receives Soderberg PrizeIcelandic fashion designer Steinunn Sigurdardottir has been chosen to receive the Swedish Soderberg Prize this year, SEK 1 million (USD 137,000); one of the largest design prizes in the world.The jury concluded that Sigurdardottir has become a respected representative of the Nordic countries in the international fashion arena with her designs inspired by Icelandic nature, Frettabladid reports.
