This year's theme for the awards was "A Night at the Opera" and this piece was a fitting choice as the grand finale of the glittering ceremony.

If you think the one-piece swimsuit can't be as sexy or alluring as the bikini, take another look.
With plunging necklines and side cutouts, the traditional maillot eschews its modest reputation with an updated silhouette that could rival the itsy-bitsy two-piece in skimpiness.
Where it might have been hard to find modernized one-pieces just two years ago, contemporary swimwear labels such as Laguna Beach-based Vitamin A, Santa Ana-based L*Space and ViX have all added the one-piece to their collections.
Despite all the attention the one-piece has gotten lately from fashion magazines, the bikini still reigns as the beach or poolside suit of choice, and what's hot this year incorporates a variety of trends from several seasons past.
Mixing and matching prints is still popular, and embellishment remains big, from hardware touches like metal rings and leather accents to sequins on bikini tops.

How does a designer go from being a relative unknown to becoming a tastemaker?
New York Fashion Now explores the stories of twenty designers who launched their own labels in the five years between 1999 and 2004.
Key to the early success of some has been the focused support of the fashion press, retailers and manufacturers, as well as the funded design competitions that help the winners pay their bills.
For many of New York's young fashion hopefuls this support has been essential.
Young designers shoulder significant economic burdens, along with the expectation to deliver creatively each season.
Further, many of the featured design labels were founded around the time of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
The designers, along with their staff, factories and retailers, struggled in the resultant economic downturn.
Still, the number of designer-led fashion businesses founded in New York City at the turn of the 21st century is remarkable.
New York Fashion Now captures this significant moment of design productivity, both within the city's mainstream fashion culture and outside it.
The twenty featured start-up stories provide insight into how so many young hopefuls have prevailed at this particular moment.

With this year's designer collaboration H&M opens its doors to the exclusive world of Roberto Cavalli.
The Italian designer will create a one-off collection for women and men exclusively for H&M.
The line will carry the vital touch and the intense sensuality typical of Roberto Cavalli, one of the world's most exciting and creative fashion designers.
"Roberto Cavalli has created a world of his own, iconic and full of fantasy, when it comes to colours, prints, and style.
There is no place for shyness and no possibility of ending up with a mainstream wardrobe of everyday basics.
The Roberto Cavalli collections represents an exuberant, successful lifestyle," says Margareta van den Bosch.
"As the first Italian designer in the history of H&M, I enthusiastically welcomed this invitation, proud to bring the lively and positive spirit of my work to a new audience, who will be able to see and interpret my style in an individual way.
I love freedom and challenges: breaking down barriers, experimenting in different directions.
H&M is all this for me.
I will add a dash of festivity and dreams," explains Roberto Cavalli.
