Giuseppe Saltarelli from Canada has won the Alpinestars and Autosport design competition for Tonio Liuzzi's Brazilian Grand Prix racing boots.
The Toro Rosso driver personally picked Saltarelli's design out of more than 120 designs submitted by Autosport readers last week.
31-year-old Saltarelli, a graphic designer from Montreal and father of a two years old daughter, says he has been a Formula One and Ferrari fan since 1995.
"To be able to connect the passion I have for F1 to the one I have for design is something I always strived for, but always thought out of reach," he said after being told he has won the design competition.
"So having my design selected by Tonio Liuzzi, whom I respect for his talent, his sense of style and of course for the sentimental value that he's an Italian, is an honour for me and a dream come true.

L.A. Fashion Week is unofficially under way.
The event begins Sunday, with 32 shows over five days at Culver City's Smashbox Studios.
Celebrity favorites Sue Wong and Louis Verdad, and denim designers Evisu and Frankie B. are among those unveiling spring 2007 collections.
But the real kickoff to the week is Gen Art's "Fresh Faces in Fashion" show.
With the city primed for its fashion fix, this annual celebration of emerging design talent gives local up-and-comers their first taste of the catwalk.
The ninth annual event Friday night transformed a massive hangar at the Santa Monica airport into a fashion mecca anchored by an 80-foot runway and dotted with cocktail bars and displays of accessories.

With the opening of a new store in Manhattan's Union Square today, PUMA introduced the launch of the new PUMA Store design.
The Union Square store is located at 33 Union Square West and measures 5,300 square feet.
The idea behind the new store design features a Ship Container concept, where all of the fixture elements are positioned in the space by being mounted on the walls, laid on the floor or suspended from the ceiling.
The modular design contains various elements that can be mixed and matched in different ways, giving each store the opportunity to create its own individual style.
"With this new design concept, we once again surprise our customers with innovative and fun ways to promote the PUMA-experience in our stores and to thereby increase the brand desirability", says Antonio Bertone, Group Functional Director Brand and Marketing.
"The design intent was to imagine not just another PUMA concept store, but a place where the PUMA energy was evident.
I wanted to promote city style in a place that encourages casual shopping," says Paolo Lucchetta of RetailDesign SRL and creator of the new store.
The store in Union Square joins two other PUMA stores in New York -- a sport fashion store in the Meatpacking District and a PUMA Concept Store in Soho.
