The 29th and 30th of August are the dates for the 12th edition of Trend Selection at The Altman Building in New York, with the presentation of the new Autumn-Winter 2007-2008 collection of leathers, fabrics, components and accessories for footwear, leather goods and clothing.
The season will draw inspiration from the little and great dreams of man, from the emotion and energy that drive mankind.
Feminine looks will be raised to the nth power.
There will be two parallel directions: luxury, now free from excesses and closer to a more discrete femininity and a new mood for neat looks, with a natural allure and a simplification of shapes enriched by matter.
Over 40 companies, mainly from Europe, will be taking part to the show and during the two-day event they will meet up with buyers and designers from brand names in the USA.

A powerful new fashion consumer is demanding more than run-of-the-mill bridge fashion, and designer Hilton Hollis is producing exactly the clothes she wants to buy, wear, and be seen in, season after season.
"The woman who buys my clothes is very specific:
She knows who she is, what she wants, and she won't settle for less than perfect fit in styles that reflect her own cultural refinement," says Hollis.
Distinguished by impeccable tailoring, couture finishes, contemporary styling, and imported fabrics (all offered at bridge prices) Hilton Hollis designs transcend the market segment.
Hollis, who launched his line in Spring 2006, is already being touted as the next big thing by fashion insiders.
"Hilton Hollis clothing is modern, but with a particular fit that is rare today," says Nat Ekelman, president of GeNe, the line's Dallas representative.
"Hilton is a marvelous tailor.
He excels at architectural seaming: every jacket is rich with surprising, subtle details that reflect an extraordinary level of old world craftsmanship."
