Centrepiece 10 Year Anniversary Jewellery Exhibition32 contemporary jewellery designer makers and silversmiths based in Birmingham whose work sells nationally and internationally will be coming together to celebrate their 10th anniversary with a dual site exhibition in their home town.
Centrepiece was formed in 1997 by a group of mainly self-employed designer-makers working in the Jewellery Quarter, as part of the revitalisation of the district.
The group's aims were to provide a platform for their combined talent and creativity and to showcase their work to a wider audience.
To celebrate their 10th anniversary, Centrepiece has invited twelve young up and coming designers to join them at their annual exhibition.
These designers will be exhibiting for the first time at the Town Hall, Birmingham, in addition to their annual residency at Symphony Hall.
The Centrepiece group is mainly comprised of jewellers, and also includes enamellers, silversmiths and a gemstone artist.
All of Centrepiece's members have workshops in the city with the majority based in the one mile radius around the quarter's famous clock.
They have collectively won numerous awards for their work and have commissioned and presented works to HRH Prince of Wales, Evelyn Lauder and Vivienne Westwood.
