Banana Republic Has Designs On RealityApparel retailer Banana Republic will be the lead sponsor of Project Runway, the upcoming reality series on Bravo that takes a behind-the-scenes look at the fashion industry. The show, which will be hosted by supermodel Heidi Klum, will premiere in late November.
The series will follow 12 up-and-coming designers as they compete in various design challenges. Contestants will be eliminated each week until three remain. In February they will face-off with debut collections on the runway during New York's Fashion Week. The winner will receive a mentorship with Banana Republic's design team.
