Pakistan's textile exports jumped 23 per cent year-on-year in value terms in the 11 months ended May 31 to $6.41 billion, new data revealed on Wednesday.
Figures from the Federal Bureau of Statistics showed exports of cotton yarn slipped 1.7 per cent in volume terms in the period but exports of cotton cloth rose five per cent in volume terms.
Exports of silk and synthetics climbed 13.8 per cent year-on-year in volume terms with ready-made garment exports down 10 per cent in volume terms.
Knitwear exports rose 43 per cent in volume terms but fell 33 per cent in value terms due to currency fluctuations.
