Amsterdam International Fashion WeekAmsterdam International Fashion Week #4 kicked off at the end of January.
The event has grown incredibly over the last 2 years; the number of catwalk shows had exploded from 3 to 20.
All in all, over 50 events were organized on the official schedule.
AIFW is organized twice a year and aims to promote Amsterdam as an inspiring destination for fashion.
In line with our city's reputation for new ideas and enterprise, the marriage of commerce and culture is a key part of the platform.
Highlights included shows by Mart Visser Collection, Wolford, Blue Blood, Percy Irausquin and Fashion Institute Arnhem, the finals of the Lancôme Colour Designs Awards, a seminar by ArtEz fashion academy, plus exhibitions, parties and events throughout town.
Catwalkshows by Blue Blood, Corné Gabriels, Daryl van Wouw, Fashion Institute Arnhem, Ilja Visser, Harrison Wong, Katrin Neyer, Mada van Gaans, Kiata Kwanda, Mart Visser Collection, Organised Confusion, Percy Irausquin, Wolford and Yes Master, as well as off-show presentations by Collectie Arnhem, Conny Groenewegen, Joline Jolink and Monique van Heist.
Exhibitions: International big names of fashion illustration were by UNIT agency at the Kunstfabriek, NuPespective fashion photography at Foam, Frans Molenaar at the Melkweg Galerie, Esquire's 'muses' at MENDO, Viviane Sassen at Motive Gallery, installations at the Biederberg Gallery and
