Real Art For Real People - Invitation to AOI MembersThis brand new and completely unique exhibition is a first for aspiring artists. A COMMISSION FREE gallery, set up to enable the best amateur artists to sell their works to a public audience over a week long exhibition. Drawing together a wide range of original, accessible and affordable work from talented but unknown living artists.
The first exhibition will be held between 4 October and 10 October 2004 at the Coningsby Gallery, Covent Garden, and will be a truly unique showcase of art which is intended to be enjoyed in the home - encompassing all styles and media, paintings, sculpture, drawings, print, embroidery and photography. There is space for several hundreds works by up to 60 artists. The exhibition will be curated by Barbara Jackson, practising artist and printmaker.
