The editors of Graphic Design USA invite you to join the thousands of creative professionals who have won awards in this national design competition over its three decade history.
The competition is open to everyone in the community: advertising agencies, design firms, corporate, institutional and publishing inhouse departments, and more.
It honors outstanding new work of all kinds: print, packaging, point-of-purchase, internet, interactive and motion graphics.
Winners receive an embossed Certificate of Excellence for each piece selected and become eligible for reproduction in Graphic Design USA's Awards Annual, seen by over 100,000 colleagues and clients each year.

Yupo Corporation America, the largest manufacturer of synthetic paper in the western hemisphere, has unveiled a new swatch book to showcase its line of bright white, super smooth, waterproof, and tear and chemical resistant synthetic papers.
The swatch book displays Yupo's new UV Printable grade that requires no primer, as well its text, cover and translucent grades in various weights.
The threefold swatch book has a center pocket filled with interchangeable cards that prominently feature Wally, Yupo's beloved mascot.
They also demonstrate a full range of techniques for Yupo's versatile synthetics including die cutting, embossing, spot gloss, and varnishes.

AGDA ACT will celebrate World Graphic Design Day, in Canberra this year by presenting "Dr Type", Dr Anthony Cahalan, "Interrogating Type".
Typefaces are essential to a designer's ability to communicate visually.
The late twentieth century witnessed the democratisation and internationalisation of typeface design and usage.
This was significantly due to the ease of access to desktop computer technology and a related exponential growth in the number of typefaces available to users of type.
Anthony Cahalan looks at the way designers and professional users of typefaces saw the type design industry from the inside.
He provides "snapshots in time" of typeface design. In his presentation for World Graphic Design Day 2006, he will share some of the fascinating outcomes from his research and will reflect on completing Australia's first PhD in the field of typography.
