Toccare Design to Debut in Dallas and Chicago at National Gift Shows

Toccare Design, working with 2 new showrooms, will make their Gift Show debuts next week. Working with the Erik Hahn Showroom in Dallas, Texas and The Paper Chase in Chicago, Illinois, Toccare Design hopes to reach out to areas that haven't been able to access their product line.

Toccare Design is a Stationery Design company producing fresh and exciting concepts for entertaining and social correspondence. Their Entertaining Kits have been featured in publications including Oprah Magazine, Child Magazine, Lucky Magazine, Italian Elle and New Jersey Bride. Their line of Stationery debuted in the Fall of 2004 with 14 exciting designs and a line of Holiday stationery. Their comprehensive website offers free advice on party planning from lighting and music to menus and more.

Melissa Hall Klepacki, CEO of Toccare Design, will be in attendance at both shows to meet and greet new customers. "It is an exciting opportunity for us to be visible at both of these shows and be a part of 2 showrooms in 2005. It is the first step of a huge sales push this year. We are working on developing new products to be released in May at the National Stationery Show and are very excited about our growing company," she said.

The Dallas International Gift and Home Accessories Market runs from January 19-26, 2005 at the Chicago Merchandise Mart.

LOGO2004 Presents the Best in Identity Design

Capital Corporation Image Institution (CCII) has announced the top award winners of LOGO2004: 4th International Logo Biennial Competition.

LOGO2004 aims to recognise exceptional logo designs from the Asia-Pacific region and around the world, and acts as a professional forum of identity design.

The event was organised by CCII in China, and endorsed by Icograda.

LOGO2004 exhibitions have already been held in Shanghai (29 September - 18 October 2004) and Hangzhou (4-12 December 2004). CCII is currently planning more travelling exhibitions for 2005.

The LOGO2004 competition was open to design companies and individuals from around the world. Qualifying designs were created during 2000-2004 and submitted in the following categories.

Trademark/Logo: logo designs that reflect Culture, Business and Social sectors, Visual Identity Series: design focusing on visual identity, Spark Creation: innovative works and new concepts, Corporation Image Management: designs that show conceptual innovation and excellent management of corporate visual identity, Promoting: designs by institutions specialising in trademark/logo design, visual identity or design education.

Designers from all over Europe, America and the Middle East will get together in Beirut, Lebanon next April for three consecutive days to exchange views on graphic design and typography.

Typo Graphic Beirut 2005 is the first of its kind within the Middle East's graphic design community, and will feature more than 20 speakers contributing to an atmosphere of design thought and practice from regions all over the world.

With a mix of pulsating speeches, thorough discussions, exhibitions, workshops, and social functions and excursions in Beirut, this conference will offer an interaction of design theory and educated opinions relating to design.

Meet New Impulses in Graphic Design : Face to Face 5

When visual designers and clients present themselves to the participants of Face to Face 5* in the Design Center Stuttgart in March, Malaysia will be the first guest country from outside Europe. Once again, the successful Face to Face concept promises to be a graphic design highlight. Close cooperation between the Design Center Stuttgart and its Malaysian partner organization, Pertubuhan Wakaf Reka Grafik Malaysia WREGA, is the guarantee of a varied programme - one which will once again live up to its motto "For a better understanding between client and designer".

The event is centred around a two-day conference, whose focus on dialogue means that not only the many speakers from the two countries will be able to have their say, but equally that delegates will be able to network and forge contacts. From Germany, probable contributors include such well-known studios as United Ideas or Pentagram Design. The latter will be presenting itself together with its client Star Alliance Services. What is striking about the many topics, however, is their diversity.
