2007 The Institute of Design Montréal AwardsThe Institute of Design Montreal Awards competition underscores the excellence of Quebec design and demonstrates that design creates wealth, enhances the quality of life and expresses a society's cultural identity.
It is organised in collaboration with professional design associations and orders, with the backing of business associations and with the financial support of Canada Economic Development and the Ministere des Affaires municipales et des Regions.
The winning designer in each category receives a trophy and a certificate.
The winner's client company also receives a certificate.
Special mentions may be awarded and in such cases, both the designer and the client company receive a certificate.
Furthermore, the winners, finalists and semi-finalists selected by the jury enjoy prominent visibility during the activities surrounding the competition (Gala, exhibition, prestige publications, special inserts in major newspapers, etc.).
This year, the winners and their clients will also be given an official seal they will be entitled to display on the packaging or advertising for their winning product or project.
