Design Matters Features Planet Propaganda's Brand and Brochure Designs for UpperCut ImagesRockport Publishing's upcoming book Design Matters: Brochures 01, authored by Michelle Taute, will feature Planet Propaganda's brand and brochure designs for UpperCut Images.
It showcases UpperCut as a success story exemplifying how to "stand out in a crowded market -- with smart, artistic images from top photographers." The book is slated for release in January 2008.
Carefully crafted to engage both artist and art buyer, Planet developed UpperCut Images' brand personality, name, identity, website, advertising, brochures, sales kit and web movies to launch this new "Stock That Isn't" brand of high-end, rights-protected stock photography.
Design Matters: Brochures 01 showcases an interview with Travis Cain, senior designer at Planet, describing both the Uppercut launch brochure, which promotes the art of the photographers, and the "shooter" booklet, which focuses on the artists' behind the lens.
"The idea was to give designers a glimpse into the thought processes of top photographers from the agency's stable.
This strategy also reinforces a key brand message -- these images are a cut above the offerings from competing stock companies," observes Taute.
