Vaughn Wedeen Creative Inc. in 4th Edition The Big Book of LogosSeveral works by Albuquerque advertising and design agency Vaughn Wedeen Creative Inc. will appear in the 4th edition of "The Big Book of Logos" by David E. Carter, a noted authority and author on the subjects of graphic and logo design.
Seventeen of the New Mexico firm's logos have been selected to be in the book. Each year, the selection committee receives up to 11,000 submissions from design firms in America and narrows the finalists to 2,500.
Many of the logos were designed for Albuquerque firms, such as Academy Printers, the Albuquerque Isotopes baseball team and the Amy Biehl Charter High School, among several others.
"'The Big Book of Logos' is a reference book on the shelves of designers around the world and we are thrilled to be able to inspire our fellow creatives with the work we have done for our clients," said Steve Wedeen, president of Vaughn Wedeen, in a news release.
The firm has received several national and international awards for its work for clients such as Qwest, Levi Strauss and Motorola.
"The Big Book of Logos," published by Harper Design International, goes on sale December 21.
