Planet Propaganda's Package Design Awarded Perfect 10 by HOW MagazinePlanet Propaganda's package designs for Candinas Chocolatier has been honored by HOW magazine as one of 10 selected entries worthy of representing the "Perfect 10" designs in the nation.
Featured in the magazine's December business annual, the juried competition recognizes these 10 printed pieces for their "perfect harmony of printing, paper and design."
Planet's design team carefully considered Candinas' package structure along with its aesthetics.
Die-cuts and sleeves were used to create a layered feel and materials selected to elicit a tactile quality.
"The layered contrasting patterns also helped create a textured feel to complement the complex flavors of the chocolates," says brand manager Greg Wold.
Judges for the 2005 HOW Perfect 10 Awards chose entries that exhibited high production values, appropriate paper selection, ideal printing techniques and fine-quality finishes.
Candinas' packaging was printed by American Printing in Madison using Mohawk Paper as supplied by Unisource of New Berlin, Wis.
Now in its second year, the HOW Perfect 10 Awards is the newest juried competition hosted by HOW magazine.
Considered to be one of the graphic design community's most trusted sources for creative inspiration and business advice, reaching a circulation of nearly 40,000 readers across the globe.
