Wally Awards Designer's Choice Winner: Yellow FinDesigners and creative professions have cast their votes and the results are in!
Austin, Texas-based Yellow Fin has won the Designer's Choice Wally Award for its menu redesign for Manuel's restaurant.
Yellow Fin was charged with redesigning the menu and logo of one of Austin's favorite Mexican restaurants.
Manuel's features an extensive menu offering Happy Hour Specials, lunch, brunch, dinner, drinks, and desserts.
"They were looking for an attention getting, flexible and multi-tasked menu solution," says Yellow Fin CEO Chris Moujaes.
"We also needed to find a solution that would be both beautiful and incredibly durable."
Yellow Fin chose an engaging color palette of fanciful reds, soothing blues, and countervailing yellow-patterned banding which formed the perfect backdrop for the elegant and modern sans-serif typeface and bold icon-driven menu sheets.
"The colors look amazing on YUPO," says Yellow Fin Creative Director, Sean McKenna.
"The menu is one of the first tactile experiences a customer has with a restaurant, its super smooth appeal as well as the fact that it is ultra durable and washable made it the perfect material choice."
